Staff of the Week

This page is dedicated to the staff members at ICSU. We will be interviewing one staff member each week and asking them about their life inside and outside of the campus. This will provide a great opportunity for both students and parents to get to know the faculty who serve God's purposes at our school.

This week we are featuring Ms. Frattarelli.

THe New Co-teacher: By CHristian

Ms. Hake’s new co-teacher, Ms. Silvia Frattarelli has been interviewed by Christian so that everyone in ICSU  could get to know her better. The first question was, “Why did you come to ICSU?”. Ms. Frattarelli answered that she had been working with NICS to help learn to become a teacher.

Before she came to ICS, she has been attending Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Ms. Frattarelli’s home before she came  to Korea was Harleysville, Philadelphia. When asked what she likes most about Korea, Ms. Frattarelli said that she enjoys the culture because it is interesting, and the environment is attractive. When asked about her future plans after this year, she replied that she will be graduating college, and she’s not sure what will be coming up next; she just wants to let God guide her and show her where she needs to go.

When Christian asked about her Christian life, Ms. Frattarelli stated that although she had grown up in a Christian household, she hadn’t felt the true impact until middle school. Her journey to Christ was accompanied by her parents, pastor, and  youth leaders. After receiving Him, she became more confident because she received assurance that God would help and guide her; she didn’t have to worry about her future because she had trust in God. The following question asked by Christian was, “What is your goal?”. Ms. Frattarelli responded that she wants to become a teacher in an international school.

Christian asked where she would want to go on vacation, and she answered that she would like to visit Hawaii because of the waterfalls and volcanoes. For the last question, Christian asked Ms. Frattarelli if she plays any instruments. She responded that she used to play the flute for her church when she was younger, but she doesn’t play it anymore.
