Staff of the Week

This page is dedicated to the staff members at ICSU. We will be interviewing one staff member each week and asking them about their life inside and outside of the campus. This will provide a great opportunity for both students and parents to get to know the faculty who serve God's purposes at our school.

This week we are featuring Ms. Kim.

Ms. Kim’s favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 16:2-4(2 People may be pure in their own eyes,   but the Lord examines their motives. 3 Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed. 4 The Lord has made everything for his own purposes, even the wicked for a day of disaster NLV) it is her favorite verse because she thinks that even though some decisions in our lives may look wise, it might seem different in God’s view. With this verse, we can stay aligned in every aspect of our lives using this verse as a moral compass.

This was Ms. Kim from the teachers of ICSU, I am thankful for her to accept being in the school newspaper site and also thank you for reading my article.

A student who Returned as a teacher

by Devin

February 23, 2019

She’s a teacher! She was a student! The teacher that formerly went to ICSU, Ms. Kim is here! Her birthday is on March 9th, 1992 and she’s from Seoul. She has been to many different countries including Greece, Turkey, Prague, Croatia, Hungary, Germany, USA, Canada, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Thailand and more.

Ms. Kim is ICSU’s 3rd-grade teacher and she teaches all main subjects to the 3rd graders. Her story starts in ICSU, she went to our school while her 7th - 11th grade. It is said that Mr. Miller and Mr. Olling were there teaching her to.

If she could change something from the past, it would be this. She had a bad habit of cheating in Bible class, but she was caught and thankful for it, otherwise she would’ve had kept on cheating on the rest of the classes. She thinks of it as God’s grace and mercy that she has been caught that day so that she would realize that what she did was wrong and feel God’s mercy.

The reason that she became a teacher is because she took Mr. Olling and Mr. Miller as her role model and wanted to become teachers like them. Teachers who care about students.
