Staff of the Week

This page is dedicated to the staff members at ICSU. We will be interviewing one staff member each week and asking them about their life inside and outside of the campus. This will provide a great opportunity for both students and parents to get to know the faculty who serve God's purposes at our school.

This week we are featuring Mr. Yoo.

Mr. Yoo

Mr. Yoo is a teacher who teaches Design, Technology, and Bible at our school. His birthday is October 2nd, and he is currently 43 years old. He is from California, USA, and he  lived there their for about 75% of his life. Mr. Yoo did not originally think of being a teacher but God has lead his to this path of teaching in ICSU. One of the major reasons why he came to teach technology/design is because his parents bought him and his older brother an Atari 2600 (a game console), a VCR (video tape recorder), a video camcorder, and an Apple IIe computer when he was growing up in the 1980's., They learned how to solve problems/puzzles and also improved hand-eye coordination by playing the video games. Mr. Yoo and his brother’s creativity stems from making short films and commercial using the video camcorder, figuring out how the computers worked, and coding a software on the computer. . Growing up, their  electronic devices were like toys. Eventually, he started to love every aspect of the electronic devices. This is how he was led to the path of Technology. He believes that our Lord had him go through these experiences to prepare him for his work at ICSU, and while he is here at ICSU, he knows that God is preparing him for what is next.
