Student Of The Quarter
Nov. 2, 2018
Ladies and Gentlemen, parents and students, the Students of the Quarter have been announced.
The Students of the Quarter in the Middle school are Yun in eighth grade, Amy in seventh grade, and Joseph in sixth grade.
The students were chosen by Middle school teachers, not just based on grades, but based on their effort during their classes and on our school’s ESLRs, which entail characteristics of investigative learners, perceptive learners, effective learners, quality producers, cooperative contributors, and involved citizens.
For example, Yun from eighth grade had written notes every chapel, which demonstrated her characteristics of being an involved citizen.
Yun, one of the Students of the Quarter said, “I am glad that I can use [the] elevator. I want to be the Student of the Quarter again so that I can use elevator again.” I hope her wish will come true.
The Students of the Quarter in High school are Paul from twelfth grade, Injae from eleventh grade, Matthew from tenth grade, and finally - last but not least - Lillian from ninth grade.
The students were chosen by our high school teachers. They were chosen because they had demonstrated exemplary behavior, leadership qualities, and a large amount of effort and growth throughout the first quarter.
Paul, one of the Students of the Quarter, said, “I felt very honored to be selected as the Student of the Quarter. This really meant a lot, as it reflected my hard work throughout the quarter. I am motivated to do even better in the second quarter.”
