Salvation

When you normally think of chapel, it is a place where people gather to praise God. The church is also thought as a place of gathering, but it is said in the Bible that the church is the people, not the building. In this article, I am going to talk about last week’s chapel by Mr. Havill.

Salvation was the topic for last week’s chapel. It was about sinners and how God used Jesus to save us. God loved us so much that He gave His one and only Son to make a bridge between us and Himself.. God gave us a way to be saved, and we can be saved by having faith in Christ. Before the bridge appeared, people were doomed to face Judgment and Punishment after death. This is because God is good and He must punish evil. We, sinners, are not worthy of God’s glory, as said in Romans 3:23--“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. God opened a way to be saved. By having faith in Christ, we can avoid the punishment of the eternal fires of hell, and we can live eternal life in the Kingdom of God. Romans 6:23 states, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”.

There are also 3 types of faith that I learned during chapel: dynamic faith, demonic faith, and dead faith. Dynamic faith is the kind of faith that leads to action through the passion of belief. Demonic faith is how Satan knows God exists but does evil actions. Dead faith is the faith only by words. We should have dynamic faith in the Trinity, and we should never lose the chance that God gave us to be saved.
