Make Good Decisions

On our weekly Wednesday chapel, we listened to a message from Mr. Miller about the Four Spiritual Laws. He told us what the four laws are: God loves you, Man is sinful and separated from God, Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for man’s sin, and we must personally receive Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.
The second tip he told the middle school was that we should focus not only on what we are currently doing, but focus on the forthcoming events. What we should strive for is to encourage through the scheme of eternity. We should make our friends look forward to the rest of eternity and the future. A Bible verse that relates to this is Colossians 3:2, where it says focus on the top, (heavens) not only earthly things.
Some of us think that if you grow older, you can’t do lots of stuff you did when you were younger. People also think that you missed your chances on success if you are old. Mr. Lancaster thinks that age is simply a number. Most of the influential people are in fact older than you. You should influence the people younger than you. You should be a good influence to them. An example is 1 Timothy 4:12, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.”
Best friends are chosen for you; God chooses what’s best for you. Some characteristics of best friends are that they are loyal, not changing, and lots more. Best friends have ups and downs, and don’t always agree with you. The perfect best friend is God, and we should always seek him. A Bible verse related to this is Proverbs 18:24, “One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”
